With what was originally a 13-week project schedule, the Eastman Cooke team recently went above and beyond to complete this 11,000-sq.ft. retail store in only 8 weeks, after our client asked us to accelerate the job to accommodate an earlier opening date.
The Five Below store project began on March 9th and was completed on May 1st, a full five weeks ahead of schedule. The store opened for business on May 29th a full month before expected, which resulted in more business for our client.
“Going above and beyond for our clients is at the crux of what we do,” said Peter Morandi, Eastman Cooke CEO. “I’m thrilled with the success of this project.”
The team built out this building’s core and shell to include two public bathrooms, a manager’s office, a 2,000-sq.ft. stock room and a 9,000-sq.ft. sales floor. A new store front and facade to match the existing building’s criteria was also installed. The project also included new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, flooring, store front systems and design-built Sprinkler and Fire Alarm systems.
Ray Ruggiano, Project Superintendent on the Five Below job, said not only did his team deliver, but they did so with a zero punch list, meaning, no follow-up items or changes.
This success story is just one of many examples of how Eastman Cooke comes together to build our clients’ vision, taking whatever steps necessary to satisfy their needs. Read more here about our company and philosophy.
