Earlier this week, Eastman Cooke underwent a site safety and risk assessment as part of its annual insurance renewal process.  After inspecting the construction company’s five-story medical center project in Midtown Manhattan, the Risk Control Consultant praised their efforts to promote safety, and stated that the conditions exceeded their expectations.

“After hearing from other contractors that certain things we require couldn’t be done, it’s nice to visit a site that proves them wrong,” said the consultant.  “Eastman Cooke should serve as an example to others – a company that proves it is possible to comply with all of our requirements and exceed the standards for safety in Construction.”

April Intrabartola, Eastman Cooke’s Director of Administration and Finance, said the company is extremely proud that their hard work and safety efforts were recognized by their insurance company.

“Safety is our number one goal on a job site, as it promotes a safe and healthy working environment for all field personnel. We go to great lengths to take daily photographs and log data into a software system to verify compliance with all OSHA standards and regulations.”
