Eastman Cooke Construction has been awarded a 2016 Corporate Culture Award by New York SmartCEO. The leading construction firm is among 50 area businesses recognized for cultivating innovative workplaces and collaborative, performance-driven cultures. Winners were selected by an independent committee of local business leaders.
Eastman Cooke CEO Peter Morandi was presented with the prestigious honor at a lively awards ceremony held at 404 NYC on November 30th. The award is Morandi’s third in 2016. Earlier this year, he received the Boy Scouts of America’s Distinguished Citizen Award, and a Business Leadership Award from Queens Centers of Progress (QCP), a New York nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of developmentally disabled individuals.
Since starting at Eastman Cooke in 2009, Morandi’s passion and commitment has championed a strong internal culture comprised of teamwork, productivity and strong communication at every level in the company. Externally, Morandi’s open door policy and successful relationship building extends to vendors, sub-contractors and clients, helping to create a positive rapport and continuous repeat business. Under his leadership, Eastman Cooke has increased its revenue exponentially year over year.
“A winning corporate culture comes down to your employees,” Morandi says. “I’m fortunate to have a dedicated, highly skilled staff willing to go above and beyond to make sure our clients’ needs are met and that all of our construction projects have the best possible outcomes.”
Eastman Cooke and its fellow award recipients will be profiled in the November/December edition of SmartCEO magazine.
